The minimum amount of the social scholarship for students enrolled in university programs is increasing from 580 lei to 900 lei. This decision is included in the Order of the Ministry of Education approving the scholarship amounts for students enrolled in university programs, organized with funding from the state budget, in full-time education, in state higher education institutions, for the academic year 2023-2024. The Order also stipulates an increase in the scholarship amount for students and doctoral candidates enrolled in the third and fourth year from 1,700/1,950 lei to 3,200 lei. Furthermore, the scholarship for dual specialization undergraduate studies and for teaching master's programs will amount to 3,158 lei. Regarding the awarding of international Olympic excellence scholarships to students from state higher education institutions enrolled in the first year of undergraduate studies who have won first, second, or third prizes in international school Olympiads, the amounts will be: 3,300 lei for first prize; 2,475 lei for second prize; 1,650 for third prize. Additionally, the amounts of performance scholarships, sports performance scholarships, dual education scholarships, and special scholarships will be determined by a decision of the Senate of the state higher education institution, at the proposal of the Board of Directors.
