Cushman & Wakefield has rented out 163 of the available stores in AFI Palace Cotroceni

Real estate consulting firm Cushman & Wakefield, the main leasing agent of AFI Palace Cotroceni, announced that it has leased 163 stores - around 74% of the total of 220 areas which have been rented so far. Out of the total number of stores rented by the company so far, 88 stores were rented by fashion retailers, 10 stores by accessories retailers, 14 went to various services providers, 8 recreational areas, the Real hypermarket, and 21 restaurant and fast-food units.

According to a press release by Cushman & Wakefield, AFI Palace Cotroceni is the largest retail project in the country, with an investment worth EUR 300 million and a leasable surface of 76,000 sqm, six anchors, 19 areas intended for restaurants and entertainment.

Cushman & Wakefield brought to Romania for the first time companies such as Marionnaud, Smyk, Twist, Noriel Toys, Vincenti, Porsche Design, Franco Feruzzi and Satellite.

Răzvan Gheorghe, general manager of Cushman & Wakefield Romania, said: "Over 75% of the brands are international, and some of them, such as C&A, have been expected to come for Romania for a long time. Each section of the retail center was designed around different themes and concepts, intended to create a pleasant environment for shoppers. We estimate the shopping center will have around 50,000 visitors a day in the early stages, and probably 70% of them will use the recreational facilities".
