Dacia - Renault has invested 51 million EUR in the Logan Pick-up project, including 22 million EUR for product development and 29 million EUR for production. Dacia Logan Pick-up will be manufactured in the company"s plant in Mioveni.
"For several years the market for pick-up vehicles has been ignored in Europe. Only a few large pick-up models such as Nissan Navara are available. As for small-sized pick-ups, the offer almost does not exist. The situations is completely opposite on other continents," Dacia officials said.
The new model is powered by a gasoline 1.6 MPI or a diesel 1.5 dCI engine that can develop up to 85 HP. The average consumption is 8.1 l/100km for the gasoline engine and 5.2 l/100 km for the diesel engine. The initial markets will be Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey.
