A transaction with government bonds worth 25.233 million lei (5.92 million Euros) was concluded Thursday, on the Bucharest Stock Exchange. 2,300 govenrment bonds were transferred for a price of 10,971.12 lei/unit, compared to the face value of 10,000 lei.
The bonds which were sold were part of an issue of state bonds of January 12th 2009, with a March 5th, 2014 maturity and an interest rate of 11%.
The issue amounted to 1.897 billion lei and was listed on the BSE on January 23rd, 2009. 56 transactions with government bonds occurred on the BSE so far, amounting to 102.7 million lei
