EnglishWhirlpool has reported year-on-year sales growth of 115% on the premium side-by-side refrigeration equipment segment (where individual units are priced at up to 6,700 RON) and of 100% on the premium embeddable cookers. The Emotion range, known for special functions (Sixth Sense, LCD control panels etc) advanced 90%.
Dish washer sales only gained 25%. Romania"s home appliance replacement rate is up to 8 years, which is three times more than the EU average. Whirlpool Romania is part of Whirlpool Corporation, which reported an annual turnover of over 13 billion USD, 68,000 employees and nearly 50 research and production centers. The company is present in over 170 countries with 12 brands.
