EnglishGas distribution company Distrigaz Sud reported a 22% increase in turnover for 2006. However, the forecast for the current year are not too optimistic, mainly due to weather conditions which were not very harsh this season, according to Pierre Parvex, Financial Manager.
In 2006 Distrigaz Sud posted a turnover of 3,2 billion RON, compared to 2,6 billion RON in 2005. Company expanses have also increased by approximately 22% in 2006.
Distrigaz Sud representatives mentioned that Varujan Vosganian"s estimate that gas price will increase by 4,5% this year is a realistic one, given present conditions.
Distrigaz Sud has a market share of 25% , the company having reported a global sales volume of 4 billion cubic metres for last year. Presently, the company is negotiating with Petrom and Romgaz in order to extend supply contracts.
