EnglishIn Q3 2010, brokerage firm "Intercapital Invest" intermediated trades with shares and mutual fund units worth 98.3 million lei, compared to 154.2 million lei in Q3 2009, according to a press release. According to company officials, "the drop was caused by the drop in liquidity over the last three months".
Over the first nine months of 2010, the company intermediated an aggregated volume of stock and mutual fund shares of 461.7 million lei, compared to 305.1 million lei, over last year"s similar period.
Also in Q3, the company intermediated derivatives trades worth 4.7 million lei (17.5 million over the first nine months). Transactions with structured products amounted to 1.4 million lei, the volume of bond trading amounted to 0.7 million lei (0.8 million over the first nine months of).
Concerning trading on Sibex, in Q3 2010 "Intercapital Invest" intermediated derivatives trades worth 142.5 million lei (405.5 million since the beginning of the year) and stock trades worth 0.6 million lei (1.4 million lei since the beginning of the year).
Intercapital reached 4,439 customers at the end of Q3 2010, the press release states.
The company"s turnover after the first nine months of 2010 reached 2.82 million lei (total revenues of 4.40 million lei), compared to 2.03 million lei at the end of Q3 2009 (total revenues of 3.97 million lei).
In Q3 2010, Intercapital Invest successfully launched and carried through the IPO of iFond Financial Romania, a fund managed by Intercapital Investment Management, the company"s management division. The IPO was oversubscribed (404%) and was the only Romanian IPO in 2010. The fund"s shares began trading on the regulated BSE market starting with September 22nd.
Intercapital Invest has also launched a partnership with Saxo Bank of Denmark to provide its customers with access to over 14,000 shares of 25 exchanges in 19 countries, as well as derivatives traded on foreign markets.
