The Ministry of Economy and UniCredit Tiriac Bank have signed a Memorandum of Understanding setting the framework for ensuring financing for major investment projects in the energy industry. The document was signed by Minister Adriean Videanu and UniCredit Tiriac Bank Executive President Rasvan Radu at the Ministry of Economy yesterday.
"The Ministry of Economy is planning to exercise unitary management of the strategic projects implemented by subordinated companies. Considering the ongoing crisis and financial restrictions, we are considering the consolidation of our priorities and the pursuit of development synergies with the financial institutions in order to guarantee flexible financial solutions," Minister of Economy Adriean Videanu said on the occasion.
"The cooperation between UniCredit Tiriac Bank and the Ministry of Economy will help stimulate investment in energy and define the strategic infrastructure projects of this sector," said UniCredit Tiriac Bank Executive President Rasvan Radu.
The Ministry of Economy concluded similar arrangements with Banca Comerciala Romana / Erste Group Bank and BRD - Groupe Societe Generale in March and, respectively, April also to support strategic projects in the energy industry.
