EnglishCardboard packaging manufacturer Ecopack Ghimbav posted a net profit of 2.08 million RON in the first six months of 2007, down by 27% from 2.85 million RON in the same period last year, due to a drop in operating profit, according to a company announcement.
Operating profit dropped 14.16% to 3.024 million RON, as compared with 3.52 million RON in the first six months of 2006. Turnover amounted to 31.94 million RON, marking a 31% increase from 24.38 million RON in H1/06.
The company ended 2006 with a turnover of 54.52 million RON, up 10.2% from 49.47 million RON in the previous year. Net profit rose by 36% to 7.4 million RON, as compared with 5.4 million RON in 2005.
Ecopack Ghimbav Brasov has a share capital of 1.63 million RON, divided into 649,280 shares with a face value of 2.50 RON. The majority shareholder is Switzerland"s Kameran Financial AG, with 82.66% in Ecopack Ghimbav, followed by SIF Banat-Crisana with 13.03%. The company is listed on Rasdaq as AMCP and has a capitalisation of 111.68 million RON (34.36 million EUR).
