EnglishIasi-based edible oil producer SC Unirea SA last year posted net sales of 32,683,007 RON, compared with 162,139,865 RON in 2005. In 2005, the company signed an oil precessing agreement with SC Bunge Romania SRL, following which Unirea stopped producing its own brand. From an accounting point of view, this move reduced the company"s raw material supply expenses from 86,747,613 RON in 2005, to 5,240,481 RON last year, and the cost of auxiliary materials from 1,405,766 in 2005, to 100,811 in 2006. Last year, the company"s investments totaled 2,899,410 RON. Presently, Unirea Iasi is controled by Koninklijke Bunge BV, the world"s largest oilseed processor, with 96.065% in the company.
