The Social Dialogue Commission of the Ministry of Education has approved the methodology for promoting two years of studies in one school year in pre-university education. Thus, after its entry into force, students capable of high academic performance and who have the physical and intellectual capacity to adapt to an accelerated learning pace will be able to benefit from the possibility of accelerating their educational path, by promoting two consecutive years of studies in a single school year.
According to the Ministry of Education, this possibility is available only once in each of the education cycles (primary, secondary and high school) to students who: obtained the "Very good" grade in each subject of study in the previous school year (for students who wish to complete the 3rd and 4th grades), respectively an overall average of 10 in each subject of study (for secondary and high school students); have obtained in the previous school year the grade "Very good" or a general average of 10 in behavior; pass an interdisciplinary test from the curriculum of the previous class to the current one and obtain a score of at least 80%.
Completing 2 years of studies in one school year is achieved by attending, on a mandatory basis, at least 50% of the courses related to the current class and at least 40% of the courses related to the second year of study, according to an individualized learning plan.
