Electrocentrale (ELCEN) - Bucharest has signed a memorandum of understanding for the construction of two new generators within the electro-thermal plants CET Progresu - Bucharest and CET Fantanele - Mures.
The value of the investments to be made with private partners (Unit Investment and Wienstrom) selected through a tender amounts to 400-450 million EUR, ELCEN General Manager Ion Marcu said yesterday.
The company is in a final phase of obtaining financing for building a new 100 MW generator at the CET Sud - Bucharest. The financing for a different project, located in Constanta, is also in a final phase. All the new generators will be built by joint ventures set up by ELCEN and private investors.
