Electricity Traded On Bourse Is Cheaper Than In Neighboring Countries

The average price of electricity sold on the energy exchange this year is 155 RON/MWh, including a 7 RON fee for feeding the energy into the grid. OPCOM, the company that handles electricity transactions, yesterday told a press conference that the average price regulated by ANRE for this year was 156 RON/MWh, whereas the corresponding price in other European countries was notably higher: Hungary - 203 RON equivalent, Albania - 218 RON equivalent and France - 178 RON equivalent.
