Botosani-based Electrocontact SA Industrial Group has has been operating in the electro-technical industry for 33 years, having contributed a variety of products to important objectives in our country and abroad: the construction of the Cernavodă nuclear power plant and the Krivoi Rog metallurgical plant, as well as cement factories in Egypt and Irak, refineries in Turkey and China, and metallurgical plants in China and India.
In 2005, the company posted 19.095.570 RON in turnover, total revenues of 18.148.162 RON and a net profit of 2.057.259 RON. The company"s financial results for 2006 are below those obtained in 2005, the company reporting a turnover of 15.897.128 RON, total revenues of 17.630.770 RON and a net profit of 826.270 RON. Electrocontact shares are listed on Tier II of the Bucharest Stock Exchange as of December 24th 1998, under the symbol ECT.
