Electromagnetica Sees Higher Profit, Turnover in H1

Electrical and electronic equipment manufacturer Electromagnetica Bucharest posted a net profit of 4.4 million RON, recording a 42.64% increase from 3.1 million RON in the same period last year, according to a company press release.

Turnover rose by 26.11% to 105.44 million RON (33.64 million EUR), as compared with 85.85 million RON in H1/06. Revenues totalled 106.6 million RON in the first six months, while expenses amounted to 101.36 million RON. The company"s assets totalled 100 million RON on June 30, up 12% from the same period last year.

In the second quarter of 2007, the company reported a net profit of 3.64 million RON, as compared with 774,040 RON in Q1, while turnover increased to 62.26 million RON, from 43.175 million RON in the first quarter of 2007.

Electromagnetica has a share capital of 33.8 million RON (10 million EUR), divided into 146.96 million shares with a face value of 0.23 RON. The Employees Association holds 49.13% in the company, followed by SIF Oltenia (SIF5) with 10.11%. The company is listed on Tier 1 of Rasdaq as ELMA and has a capitalisation of 286.58 million RON (87.44 million EUR).
