Elmas Posts 35% Increase In Turnover

Brasov-based company Elmas, a Romanian registered trademark, reported a turnover of 14,1million EUR for 2006, up 35% yoy. For the current year, company officials estimate a 25-30% increase in turnover.The investment plan for 2007-2008 involves an investment of 4 million EUR for a new production facility, modern equipment and the construction of new working points throughout the country.

Sales figures increased last year, sustaining the estimated 25-30% growth for 2007. This year, the company intends to increase its exports towards the Eastern European market. Other short-term objectives include the implementation of environmental management standards, as well as safety and health management, launching and developing new company products on the Romanian market and increasing the company"s market share as a supplier of automated systems for underground and above-ground parking.

Elmas-Brasov is a povider and manufacturer of lifting equipment, currently employing 200 people. Elmas is the Romanian exclusive partner of Demag Cranes&Components, Linde Material Handling, Bucher Hydraulics, Hanel, Wohr, Marco AB and HiroLift.
