EnglisheMAG the leading online retailer of electronics and home appliances in Romania, reported Q1 sales of HP products totaling 2.5 million EUR and an overall turnover of 16.5 million EUR. With a 3x increase in HP sales, the company became an HP Preferred Partner and marked the highest quarterly growth in a region with 19 countries and some 2030 partners.
"HP products account for nearly 17% of eMAG"s turnover," said eMAG executive manager Radu Apostolescu. Notebooks lead the sales top with 5.5 million EUR and 20% of the overall sales in Q1. LCD monitors and digital cameras account for 10% of the market share - 20.000 units. eMAG has 70% of the online sales market in Romania and estimates a Y2007 turnover of 125 million EUR and a Y2008 turnover of 300 million EUR.
