Three organizations working to support vulnerable individuals - Special Olympics, the Motivation Foundation, and the Amurtel Foundation - have joined this year in support of the organizers of the George Enescu International Festival to increase the event's accessibility. According to ARTEXIM, for the first time, these three partner organizations have provided consulting and support services for the access of people with disabilities to concert venues, enabling their participation in the festival's concerts and activities. Thanks to these partnerships, two groups of young people with disabilities from the programs of Special Olympics Romania and Motivation Romania had the opportunity to attend one of the concerts in the "Concerts for Families and Children" series, hosted by the Odeon Theater: "Pinocchio with "strings" attached," a show suitable for all ages performed by the Romanian Chamber Orchestra under the baton of conductor Gabriel Bebeşelea. Additionally, children involved in the programs of the Amurtel Foundation also attended a performance at the Odeon Theater, "Parizade and the Singing Tree," performed by the Radio Chamber Orchestra and conducted by Cristian Spătaru. "The theme of the 2023 edition of the Enescu Festival, "Generosity through Music," honors the generous and altruistic spirit of the great composer who stated that "in art, in literature, in music, nothing is truly yours until you give it to someone else," as the organizers further emphasize.
