The ultimatum of the Romanian National Securities Commission, which demanded that the Sibex quickly hold a new General Shareholder Meeting in order to elect a new member of the board to replace Bogdan Ivan, who resigned, has brought about a unique situation: The General Shareholde Meeting has already elected a new Board of Directors, but the CNVM hasn"t validated it yet, meaning that Sibex is still running with the old Board, and Ivan has resigned from the old Board, meaning that the Shareholders, which elected the new Board, is now being forced to elect a new member on the old Board ...(I could keep this up all day).
I think it would be more fitting if I actually interviewed myself:
Question: Mr. MAKE, is the new General Shareholder Meeting allowed to elect a member of the new Board as a member of the old Board?
Answer: Yes, there is nothing to prevent that.
Question: And do you think that man could be Cristian Sima?
Answer: Why not?
Question: Mr. MAKE, please stop answering my questions with questions of your own - I ask, you answer: so, can it happen?
Answer: Yes, of course, it is actually very likely that he would become once again the favorite of the General Shareholder Meeting, since at the previous meeting he was elected as the president of Sibex.
Question: OK. As we know him, Sima is a rebel, who isn"t very fond of the old Board of Directors, and, as he already did, he could ask for the current Board of Directors to be overthrown and call for new elections...
Answer: I see you are trying to corner me, but I am already familiar with your treacherousness, - do you mean to tell me we could get to the point where we could have three Boards of the Directors - the old one, the one we currently one, and the all-new one, with four presidents, Teodor Ancuţa, Cristian Sima, Dan Simionescu and one more, such as for instance Paul Miclăuş.
Question: But how did you figure it out?
As a storyteller (thus, playing a third part), I must confess that the reporter and the interviewee are really rambling, because if Sima were actually validated as member of the old Board, replacing Bogdan Ivan, then he would also be validated as the president of Sibex, on the new Board, without getting to the point of electing the all-new Board of Directors.
Anyway, it was a praiseworthy manipulation attempt.
