Romanian women can succeed in business just as well as men, in fact, sometimes, they can even do so with more responsibility and increased care for details, without making any concessions when it comes to quality. This is the main message conveyed yesterday by the over 130 women present at the "Female entrepreneurship. Women in power - a better world", organized by the BURSA newspaper in partnership with the National Association of Entrepreneurs.
In his position of special guest, Her Royal Highness Princess Lia of Romania, who has expressed her confidence in female entrepreneurship, has emphasized that businesswomen are Romania's best ambassadors, and emphasized that lobby is extremely important for promoting entrepreneur women.
"If you want to climb a mountain, you must first look at it with a lot of respect and then love it. It happens the same with our professional life", Cristina Chiriac, the president of the National Association of Romanian Entrepreneurs and ambassador of female entrepreneurship.
Businesswomen present yesterday at the event have also emphasized the hurdles which prevent the creation of a professional career, including excessive taxation, as well as the lack of transparency of the public institutions.
In spite of this, female entrepreneurship represents the most important engine for economic recovery, says Daniela Niculescu, the manager of the SME Division of "Alpha Bank", given the fact that according to a report by the World Bank, women have been less affected by the current economic crisis, as the unemployment levels among women was lower, compared to that seen among men.
Princess Lia encouraged women entrepreneurs to start debates with politicians, to get across their "health development ideas" of the business environment and of the economy in general.
