PMP deputy Adrian Gurzău has submitted in the Parliament an enquiry addressed to the president of the Authority of Financial Oversight (ASF), Mişu Negriţoiu, through which he is asked whether he plans to get retired.
Gurzău wrote: "Given the information reported in the press concerning your retirement and taking into account the fact that the law in effect allows combining the pension and the salary, I want to ask you the following questions:
1. Do you confirm that you have applied for retirement?
2. Do you intend to keep your management position at the Financial Oversight Authority after retirement as well?
3. Do you think that it is moral to combine the salary that you are collecting from the ASF with the pension that you will be receiving?"
The deputy mentions that the answer to these questions represent information of public interest.
"I am requesting an answer in writing and verbally", Adrian Gurzău further said, meaning that Mişu Negriţoiu would probably have to go to the Parliament.
When asked whether president ASF Mişu Negriţoiu has applied for his retirement, addressed by the BURSA newspaper, on September 16th, the representatives of the Authority told us: "Mr. president Negriţoiu does not answer to questions concerning personal matters, without any direct question with his professional activity at the ASF".
It remains to be seen whether the ASF will give the same answer to the Parliament as well. In the market, the rumors that Mişu Negriţoiu is getting ready to depart from the ASF are picking up steam, one of the stories being that a position of consul is being prepared for him.
His seat has several contenders, but the decision lies with the governing party.
