"E.ON Energie România" will not be affected by the lawsuit of the Proprietatea Fund

The managing director of "E.ON Romania", Frank Hakdinjak, does not believe that the opposition of the Proprietatea Fund (FP) to the plan of the Romanian government to create two giant energy companies will endanger the process. He said yesterday in a conference: "E.ON Energie Romania exists and still operates and I don"t think it will be affected in any way by the lawsuit because we have been through this before. We have complied with all the legal requirements and we think that the ruling will be in our favor ".

The Proprietatea Fund has filed a lawsuit against the merger of "E.ON Gaz România" and "E.ON Moldova Furnizare", which led to the creation of "E.ON Energie România". The Proprietatea Fund has repeatedly accused the German group, claiming that the General Shareholder Meeting which made the decision did not comply with the legislation in effect, since the proposal was not included in the notice to attend.

"E.ON Energie România" became an integrated service provider on the Romanian market, two years after the launch of the project. The shareholders of the company are "E.ON România" SRL - 51%, the Ministry of the Economy - 31.82%, Electrica SA - 3.78% and the Proprietatea Fund - 13.4%.

The newly created company has a market share of 43.24% of the regulated gas market, and of 4.72% of the free market. On the electricity market, it has a market share of 13% on the regulated market, and 3% of the free market.
