Euro Tower To Be Finished This Summer

Construction works on the office building Euro Tower reached the maximum designed height of 80 meters last week, when the metal structure of the building was completed. Thus, the building developed by Cascade Group in the central-northern part of Bucharest has entered the final phase of execution. The building is scheduled for commissioning this summer.

Euro Tower is strategically positioned on the corner of Barbu Vacarescu Boulevard and Lacul Tei Boulevard, in the immediate vicinity of the Stefan cel Mare Subway Station. The 18,000 square meter project is organized onto 18 floors and 5 underground levels housing 200 parking spaces. The investment stands at 60 million EUR.

According to a press release to BURSA, Euro Tower is the first environmentally-friendly office building in Bucharest being compliant with international certification systems for green buildings. The building encourages the use of public transport and environmentally-friendly transport as it is located close to subway, bus and tramway stations and offers parking spaces for bicycles and showers for those who use them.

Cascade Group will also implement state-of-the-art technologies to minimize the building"s impact on the environment, while reducing the designed power consumption by 30% compared to a conventional office building of similar size. "80% of Euro Tower has been leased to companies of international reputation. We are currently negotiating the lease of the remaining 20%. We are proud to host organizations such as The National Bank of Greece, their subsidiaries - Banca Romaneasca and NBG Leasing - Schneider Electric and other major companies," said Alex van Breemen, CEO of Cascade Group.
