Brasov-based rechargeable battery manufacturer Sprinter 2000 is the new majority shareholder of Fabrica de Scule Rasnov (Rasnov Tool Factory, FSR) after having acquired 77.87% from the former majority shareholder Valeria Seche for 5.68 million RON (1.82 million EUR). The transaction was concluded via RASDAQ. Sprinter 2000 paid 2.1 RON/share, by 40% less than Tuesday"s price.
SIF Transilvania announced they had sold all their shares in FSR for 4.25 RON/share. The investment firm sold 12.49 percent in the factory for 1.84 million RON. FSR recently said they were planning to sell a plot of land measuring 50,000 sq.m. and the buildings on it. The power tool manufacturer was privatized in 2001 to Valeria Seche, wife to the former PSD - Brasov Senator Ioan Seche. FSR has a share capital of 8.6 million RON and concluded 2005 with 13.2 million Ron in turnover and 516,000 RON in net profit.
