Final Distribution Estimates H2 Growth

After having reported a 1.5% decline in turnover in the first half of 2009, metallic tile importer Final Distribution hopes to resume growth in the second half of the year, according to a press release. The company estimates that sales of Gerard stone-coated steel roofing systems will generate a turnover of 15.5 million RON. A 26.6% increase in the volume of works compared to May 2009 is a first indication that the company"s status is improving.

According to the National Statistics Institute (INS) the construction market achieved growth on several segments in July 2009 including both new constructions and major repairs. Specifically, the residential segment gained 40.4%, while the civil engineering segment gained 24.6%. The volume of capital repairs increased by 38.3%, while the volume of new constructions gained 23.9%.

"In a year full of uncertainties, we need to speculate on any fluctuation on the construction market. This growth, especially on the renovation segment, is to our advantage," said Bianka Dobre, Marketing Manager, Final Distribution.

The stone-coated steel roofing systems is the ideal solution for renovation and restoration works and presents a net competitive advantage: its weight is 6-7 times smaller than that of other solutions. The Gerard solution minimizes the pressure put on an already weakened structure and generates savings of up to 10% of the cost of renovating or restoring the roof.
