Financing for the modernization of agricultural education

The Ministry of Education announced the signing of financing contracts through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) for projects won by universities that will train teachers in agricultural high schools in our country. This program represents an investment of over half a million euros, with the main objective of modernizing agricultural education in Romania.

According to the Minister of Education, Ligia Deca, the program focuses on adapting agricultural education to contemporary requirements, emphasizing topics such as:

Digitalization and artificial intelligence in agriculture; Sustainable agricultural technologies; Circular economy; Reducing pollution from agriculture; Biodiversity conservation; Modern biotechnologies; Financial management adapted to farms.

"This program represents a major step in the modernization of agricultural education in Romania, adapting it to the requirements of new technologies," emphasized Deca. The themes addressed within the program are intended to increase the efficiency and sustainability of agricultural activities, encouraging the integration of technological innovations into the practices of Romanian farmers.

The Minister of Education wished success to the universities involved in the implementation of the projects, highlighting the importance of this approach for the development and modernization of agricultural education in the country.
