EnglishIT&C and home appliances retailer Flamingo International expects 80% - 90% higher sales for air conditioning units this summer, following a 60% rise in sales in the first 10 days of June, according to a company press release. The approaching summer also brings an interest of the consumers for the air conditioning systems. This trend, also sustained by promotions, leads to a spectacular increase in sales for this kind of products, in this period.
Last year, sales of air conditioning systems recorded by Flanco and Flanco World were above estimates, following an increase in purchasing power of the population and their orientation towards comfort leading products.
Air conditioning systems sales began to develop important percents starting with May, following to achieve the maxim level in July and August. According to Flamingo representatives, the retailers will continue to make special promotions in order to sustain this evolution.
Flamingo International Group has four retail chains: Flanco, Flanco World, Flamingo Computers, Future Shop and IT distributor FDC.
Flamingo International is listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange as of June 2005. The company reported a turnover of 35 million EUR for the first quarter of the current year.
