National gas carrier Transgaz opted to renegotiate the partnership with Petrostar Ploieşti and Gazproiect SA Braşov for designing the Romanian section of the Nabucco pipeline.
At the same time, yesterday"s Ordinary Shareholder Meeting approved the company"s revenue and expense budget for 2009, with estimated total revenues of 1.417 billion lei, expenses of 1.044 billion lei and a net profit of 313.8 million lei. The company has budgeted expenses of 396.6 million lei.
Also on the agenda was the sale of the entire stake held by Transgaz in Wirom Gas SA to GDF Suez Energy România, on which the decision was postponed for a later date.
The line of business of Gazproiect Braşov is designing of natural gas pipelines and maintenance services natural for natural gas networks, as well as for methane gas installations.
Petrostar Ploieşti operates in scientific research, designing and project development, construction and industrial consulting, oil installations assembly, environmental protection and industrial consulting.
