Forza Rossa SRL in April was chosen as the official Ferrari partner for Romania. President of AutoItalia car dealer, Herbert Stein, declared on Wednesday for the daily newspaper Business Standard that his company will open the first Ferrari show-room in Romania, even estimating some five units sold per year. His statement was refuted on Friday by the Ferrari press office, the company being currently represented in Romania by Forza Rossa. "Ferrari already chose the representing company and it will be Forza Rossa. The opening date remains unchanged - 2007. The statements made by Herbert Stein are completely untrue", the Ferrari press release reads.
Forza Rossa is a joint venture between the Bazac family and Cefin, the IVECO importer for Romania. Forza Rossa has a detailed business plan for the next three years, and in the first stage, the company will invest 2-3 million EUR in Ferrari showroom. "Univers Ferrari" will be located on the Romanian national highway DN1 and will include a car service and a space for Ferrari customers.
The company plans to hire 10 people by the end of the year, which is sufficient, given the number of Ferrari cars on the market. Currently, there are 28 Ferrari automobiles with Romanian number plates in our country and around 10 cars with foreign registration plates.
