GECAD ePayment accounted for 86% of the Romanian eCommerce market in Q4, 2006, according to calculations made by relating the volume of transactions made through ePayment with the overall volume of online payments processed in Romania in the 3D Secure system.
The Romanian eCommerce market grew from 2.5 million EUR in the first half of 2006 to over 7 million EUR in the second half of the year. GECAD"s results in 2006 marked significant year-on-year growth: 20-fold increase in processed volumes, two-fold increase in the customer portfolio and a four-fold increase in turnover.
