The Polytechnic University of Timisoara (UPT) is hosting, these days, the first edition of the Autumn German School, an educational and cultural event focused on the theme of communism, intended for students from Romania, Serbia and Hungary, who will participate in various activities such as lectures, presentations , discussions, urban explorations and interactive workshops, all in German. The program also includes a tour of the city of Timisoara, during which the participants will visit significant places, including the Museum of the Revolution, in order to better understand the communist period in Romania, Serbia and Hungary, informs UPT. Organized in collaboration with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the event is held in German and focuses on the theme of the communist period. "Our goal is to give young people the opportunity to learn about communism, a historical period little known by their generation. Participants have the opportunity to share their personal and family experiences, contributing to a deeper intercultural understanding of this subject," says Rik Kiessling ( DAAD), coordinator of the event and teaching staff at UPT. The event is not limited to formal education, but also promotes intercultural dialogue, offering participants a platform for discussion and collaboration on the subject of communism, from different perspectives, depending on the country they come from. The teaching activities are supported by an international team of lecturers.
