Maritime shipping company Giurgiu Nav (RASDAQ:GIUR) has increased share capital by 4.27 million RON to 21.5 million RON after Petromservice subscribed 76.06% of the shares issued though a capital injectiona and receivables-for-shares swap.
Shareholders convened on 8. November 2007 and authorized a 5.6 million RON increase in share capital through the issuance of 2.24 million shares with a face value of 2.5 RON. Petromservice was the only shareholder to participate in the increase and fully exercised their preemptive rights.
Following the capital increase, Giurgiu Nav has a share capital of 21.5 million RON (5.7 million EUR) divided into 8.6 million shares with a face value of 2.5 RON. Before the increse, Petromservice had 76.06% of the capital, whereas the Employee Association held 22.35%.
Nine months through last year, Giurgiu Nav reported losses of 89,800 RON, following a profit of 262,500 RON in the year-ago period. The turnover gained 31.5% to 20 million RON (5.95 million EUR), up from 15.2 million RON y/y.
