GTC Invests Over 50 Mln EUR In Galleria Shopping Centers

Globe Trade Center (GTC) launched yesterday the first three Galleria shopping centers in Romania. They will be built in Buzau, Piatra Neamt and Suceava. The projects will be finalized in the first quarter of 2008 and they represent the beginning of an ample expansion strategy, which targets the entire territory of our country, according to Raluca Teposu, marketing director al "GTC".

The group"s expansion plans include the development of shopping centers in all cities with a population of over 75.000. Construction costs for such a center amount to 1.200 EUR/sqm and GTC"s investment reached 50 million EUR only for the three objectives launched this year. According to Shimon Galon, CEO of GTC Romania, in the next four years, 20 Galleria centers will be developed throughout the country.

For the construction of the Galleria centers, GTC collaborates with Aura Investments. UGA Design & Romproiect will handle the architecture, while Speakman Design will provide consultancy services. Colliers International is the exclusive agent of the Galleria projects and project management will be provided by Tebodin Consultants & Engineers.
