H&M, the world"s largest clothing retailer, announces that it plans to enter the Romanian market in full force this year, by opening its first Romanian stores in the retail centers AFI Palace Cotroceni, Băneasa Shopping City, Plaza Romania, Bucharest Mall, in the two Unirea Shopping Center stores of Bucharest and Braşov, Iulius Mall of Timişoara and Cluj and in the retail area of the Palas project of Iaşi.
The representatives of the Unirea Shopping Center of Braşov have announced that H&M will open its store in Braşov by the end of March - beginning of April. "They have already begun setting up the areas they rented on the ground floor and on the first floor of the commercial center", the aforementioned sources said.
H&M began recruiting staff for its ten stores that it wants to open in Romania last year. By the end of this year about 300 people will be hired, with 100 people having been recruited so far for the middle management positions.
The new employees will be sent on training programs in Poland and Switzerland, and some of the benefits will include optional private pension. The net wages for sales assistants in the company"s stores vary between 1,200 and 1,400 lei, according to market information.
