Henkel Romania reported a turnover of over 100 million EUR (approximately 370 million RON) for 2006, up 34% year-on-year and a profit (Ebit) of 13,5 million EUR.
The "commercial and professional adhesives" division had the most significant growth, with sales of over 46 million EUR, according to Liviu Sfrija, CEO of Henkel Romania. In 2006, the company sold over 250 000 tons of adhesives, of which 235 000 tons were manufactured in Romania, while the rest came from imports.
As far as detergents are concerned, the best selling brands were Persil, Pur, Silan, Perwoll, while Palette, Fa, Taft and Schauma were the best selling cosmetics. In 2006, the most active adhesive and technologies brands were Ceresit, Thomsit, Loctite, Teroson and Moment.
In 2007, the company will invest over 4 million EUR in a development strategy and 4 showrooms will be opened in Bucharest, Targu-Mures, Ploiesti. Within the holding company Henkel CEE, as far as growth rate is concerned, Henkel Romania ranked third among 30 countries, after Ukraine and Bulgaria.
