The Alef Association for Education, Culture and Development is organizing, in Bucharest and localities in Teleorman, Botoşani and Giurgiu counties, until December 30, 2024, the actions of the Light that Unites Us project, to support people at risk and to illuminate the souls of those who need help - people at risk.
Janina Ilie, president of the association, says: "During the Winter Holidays, it is essential to remember the values of humanity and solidarity. Social involvement is crucial to ensure that no one is forgotten and that all people can feel the warmth and joy of the winter holidays. Through this project, we want to demonstrate that each of us can bring a positive change in the lives of those around us, regardless of faith. Light is a universal symbol of hope, new beginnings and warmth of soul. In the tradition of winter holidays, light represents the love and generosity that bring us closer to each other. The "Light that unites us" project aims to bring this light into the lives of the less fortunate, through gestures of kindness and solidarity".
The ALEF Association will organize a series of activities in Bucharest, Teleorman, Giurgiu and Botoşani, which include the distribution of packages with non-perishable food, clothes, toys, hygiene products, for the Holidays to needy families and children from disadvantaged communities, as well as the organization of artistic events, to celebrate the spirit of the holidays and create unforgettable moments for those involved. The project has hundreds of beneficiaries, who need to be supported, to avoid school dropout. The project also includes children with chronic and oncological diagnoses.
