EnglishHoward Johnson Grand Plaza reported Y2006 revenues of some 13 million EUR, up by 20% from 2005. Room rental accounted for 60% of the total, whereas the rest came from events and restaurant services. The management estimates a 6% turnover increment for 2007.
Also in 2006, the hotel inaugurated a second Grand Ballroom, Iridium, and managed to better promote the conference center Grand Plaza Forum among both corporate and private customers. Another addition is the Centro Pastry Shop, which picked up nicely soon after it was opened. The hotel reported an average occupancy rate of 60%.
The five-star hotel has 285 rooms and apartments, a Grand Plaza Conference Center, the Benihana Restaurant, the Avalon Restaurant, Centro Pastry Shop, Centro Bar & Lounge, the Fit Club and an underground parking lot of 80 spaces.
