Iberdrola To Set Up Romanian Office In Polona Street

Iberdrola, one of the leading private energy companies in the world and the largest renewable energy company in the world, has concluded leasing arrangements for 350 square metres in an office building in Polona Street in Bucharest with the assistance of CBRE | Eurisko.

According to a press release to BURSA, Iberdrola has decided to enter the Romanian market and establish their Romanian office in Bucharest"s business quarter in a building that gives the company excellent visibility, an open space distribution, premium utilities, a solid concrete structure and durable finishing. According to CBRE | Eurisko, the deal confirms the current trend on the office space market as multinationals seek Class A office space in the business quarter, where occupancy rates remain high.

After a period of strong international expansion, Iberdrola became one of the top four energy companies in the world ranked by market capitalization. Iberdrola"s net profit exceeded 25 million EUR in 2008, while the profit per share gained 21.3% to 0.57 EUR following a 36 billion EUR investment made in 2007 and 2008 and the company"s internationalization and diversification strategy.
