Anheuser-Busch InBev, a world leading beer producer, has announced intent to sell operations in Central and Eastern Europe, Romania included, in order to be able to reduce what "The Times" described as a mountain of debt.
The Group climbed up last year in the world"s top largest brewers after InBev paid 52 billion USD for Anheuser-Busch thus building a beer giant owning more than 200 beer brands across the world.
InBev borrowed 7 billion USD to co-finance the takeover, bringing their total debt to 45 billion USD shortly before the beginning of the world crisis. Anheuser-Busch InBev has now started to sell some assets to pay off some of their debt.
