Capital market investors now have the new financial instruments available: index certificates, according to press release by brokerage firm Fairwind Securities.
Starting this week, the brokerage firm will offer the possibility to trade certificates issued by Volksbank Austria for the ROTX (Romanian Index) and CROX (Croatian Traded Index), denominated in Euros. The certificates in question have already been registered by the Central Repository in the settlement and registry system (RoClear).
"The classification of index certificates as financial instruments is a premiere in Romania and is based on the interest our customers expressed in this type of instruments", said Mrs. Corina Palanciuc, deputy general manager of Fairwind Securities.
The Fairwind Securities official said that, from a technical point of view, the registration in the RoClear clearing system of the Central Repository has several advantages: allows customers to make payments in Romania, the Central Repository will provide the customer with the securities statement and all the needed information about these securities, at a lower cost than similar services performed in other countries.
Index Certificates are structured products whose underlying asset is a unit of a stock market index.
