Industrial production prices (for the domestic and non-domestic market) rose 0.4% m/m and 1.4% y/y in May 2009, the National Statistics Institute announced in a press release.
Prices increased in water supply, sewerage, waste management, and decontamination (0.7%), manufacturing (0.5%), mining and quarrying (0.3%) and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (0.2%).
Prices increased for the following large industrial branches: energy industry (+2.0%), durable goods industry (+1.7%), current use goods industry (+0.8%).
The INS reports shows that prices dropped for the capital goods industry (-0.5%), and for the intermediate goods industry (-1.0%).

Industrial output prices for the domestic and non-domestic market have increased 1.4% over the month of May 2008.
Across the various sections, prices increased for water distribution, waste management and decontamination (+12.7%), production and transport of electricity, gas, warm water and air conditioning (+11.1%), manufacturing industry (+0.2%). Mining and quarrying prices dropped 8.3%.
Across the large industrial branches, prices increased significantly for durable goods (+10.5%), current use goods (+10.3%), capital use goods (+9.1%) and intermediate goods (+0.6%).
Prices for the energy industry dropped -8.4%.
