EnglishInterbrew Romania has projected a 30% increase in turnover for this year, from last year"s 160 million EUR. Marketing Manager Liviu Irimia told Rompres about the company"s latest communication initiative, the Man"s Day: "We have invested hundreds of thousands of lei and we are expecting sales to gain at least 10% from March last year."
Overall, he anticipates sales to gain 34% this year, amid an overall market growth of 7%. According to him, the Romanian beer market totaled 600 million EUR in 2006. The Romanian annual consumption is 174 liters of beer per capita, compared to the European average of 180-190 liters per capita.
