Intercapital Invest, a brokerage firm, concluded Y2006 with 451 million RON (128 million EUR) in shares trading up by 72 percent year-on-year. On the secondary market, the firm traded bonds worth 167 million RON, up from 3.3 million RON in 2005.
The firm brokered 557 million RON (158 million EUR) worth of derivatives on the Sibiu Securities and Commodities Exchange, compared to 37.5 million RON in 2005. The number of customers gained 70% to 2,451, whereas revenues amounted to 4.5 million RON, up by 50% from 2005.
Intercapital Invest was established in 1995 and is a founding member of the Bucharest Stock Exchange. It is controlled by the Romanian - American Enterprise Fund.
