A group of foreign consultants has expressed interest in developing business in Arad and has had several talks with Arad Mayor Gheorghe Falca and his economic advisor Adrian Nitu. According to Nitu, the consultants presented several projects and proposals for public - private partnerships in infrastructure, water supply, gas supply sewerage and others.
"We discussed creating long-term projects for the benefit of the local community, defining optimal financing and turning investment opportunities into viable projects," Nitu said. The meeting was attended by representatives of six companies from Romanian, Hungary, Germany and the US.
Also referring to investments, but from a different direction, Nitu mentioned the forthcoming establishment of two noteworthy international presences in Arad: the German-based car parts manufacturer Brose (40 million EUR for 50 hectares in an industrial area) and the Belgian-based construction company Besix.
