Czech Republic-based law firm Konecna&Safar will open an office in Bucharest in April this year and the investment is estimated to be between 50.000 and 100.000 EUR, according to Pavel Safar, founding partner in the firm, quoted by NewsIn.
Konecna&Safar ranks sixth among law firms in the Czech Republic receiving monthly up to five legal consultancy requests for Romania from its Czech or Slovak clients, according to Mr Safar. He added that the firm wishes to follow its clients. "The Czech legal services market is already saturated. Expansion towards East is a natural step in the development of our company, due to the potential increase of the Romanian market", said Mr. Safar.
The Bucharest office will have a senior lawyer and up to five lawyers. Konecna&Safar intended to open an office in Bucharest three years ago, but the launching was postponed because it coincided with the opening of an office in Bratislava, Slovakia, which currently has 11 lawyers.
The Konecna&Safar Bucharest office will be run by Hana Sevelova, partner in the Prague office and will specialize in corporate law, litigation and telecommunications. The firm will provide servises related to the founding of new companies, litigation, mergers and acquisitions and green-field investments.
