Petru Lificiu will be replaced as chairman of the ANRE (the energy market regulator) by one of the institution"s vice-presidents, Dan Iulius Plaveti, and will instead be appointed vice-president of the institution himself, according to press agency Mediafax.
Following the decisions signed on Tuesday by the Prime-Minister, Dan Iulius Plaveti will be released from his position of vice-president of the ANRE, which is the equivalent of a subsecretary of State, and appointed as chairman of the institution with a rank of secretary of state.
At the same time, Petru Lificiu will be released from his position of chairman of the ANRE and appointed as vice-president with a rank of subsecretary of state.
Plaveti took over the position of vice-president of the ANRE in March 2009.
Lificiu, former deputy of the Democratic Liberal Party (PD-L), was appointed as president of the ANRE in January last year.
