EnglishHigher salaries and a growing appetite for property and cars have been driving the growth of the lending market in Romania for months, according to Alexandru Margineanu, marketing manager for loan brokerage firm Credit Team. With approximately 20 new banks slated to enter the Romanian market this year, loan brokers are looking at further fast-paced growth, Margineanu believes.
The loan brokers in Romania are divided into two categories: those who broker millions of euros per month and those who broker tens or hundreds of thousands of euros per month. The first category comprises two or tree names, including Credit Team. According to Margineanu, Credit Team is the leading loan broker in the country, covering over 60% of the surface of the country. Credit Team brokers some 3.5 million EUR worth of loans per month.
