Independent oil group "LUKoil" of Russia wants to get listed in Hong Kong or Singapore soon, Deputy Chief Executive Officer Leonid Fedun will announce today.
The company is currently listed in Moscow, London and New York.
"We intend to enter the markets of Hong Kong or Singapore. Our task is to expand the opportunities available to our shareholders", said Fedun, in a business forum which took place in Moscow.
This summer, the company bought back 7.6% of its stock from American crude maker "ConocoPhillips", for 3.442 billion dollars, after which, on September 26th, exercised its option to buy back an additional 11.6% (42.5 million) of its shares in the form of ADRs, worth 5.529 billion dollars, from "ConocoPhilips", which controlled 20% of "LUKoil".
