Macro has invested 500,000 Euros in the former Wolf store of Bran

The Macro store of Bran was inaugurated yesterday, following an investment of 500,000 Euros, according to a press release by Mercadia Holland BV, the company which manages the Macro and Mic.ro chains of stores.

In the press release, Richard Mansel, the CEO Macro şi Mic.ro said: "approximately two months after launching Macro, in Braşov, we have successfully concluded the third project developed under this new concept. Macro is the first modern store format which re-creates the universe of authentic Romanian taste".

Macro Bran, which has been set up in the location of the former Wolf store, has a retail area of 932 square meters and a parking lot of 50 spots, and has 25 salesclerks. The concept of the Macro stores was launched in May 2011, when the first store of the chain was opened in Braşov.

Meracdia Holland BV is a group of Romanian companies which employs almost 6,000 employees and has an annual turnover estimated at 460 million Euros, which operates in the retail and HoReCa sectors. The group owns the Mic.ro, Macro and miniMax Discount chains, Bet Café Arena, BioGood, the Heritage and Madame Pogany"s restaurants in Bucharest. The total investments of the group have exceeded 90 million Euros.
