Mechel - Targoviste has announced the sign-off of an 88.27 million USD contract with Mechel Trading - Liechtenstein under which the former will sell a number of metallurgical products, according to a report to the Bucharest Stock Exchange. Both companies are controlled by Mechel Group.
According to the report, Mechel Trading owes 605.3 USD and 1.04 million EUR to Mechel - Targoviste. Mechel - Targoviste has also signed a 4.5 million USD contract with the Cheliabinsk Steel Works (Russia) until end-2007. Mechel - Targoviste, formerly known as the Special Steel Works, was privatized in 2002 to Conares Trading. In 2003, Conares Trading became Mechel"s representative for operations outside Switzerland.
